NutriLove is built to keep your data on your phone. There is no analytics and no advertising, and by default nothing you log is sent to us. Two things can change that, and only because you switched them on: snapping a plate for an AI read, and web sync. Both are described below.

What stays on your device

• Your meals, calories, protein and how they felt.
• The people you cook for, their targets and any allergies you noted.
• Your body profile, if you filled it in to compute a calorie target — it never leaves the phone.
• Your kitchen (pantry), your meal plan and your own meals.
• Your mood choices and the tips shown for them — the whole dictionary is on-device.

All of it is stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone and included in your normal iPhone backups.

The one thing that leaves: a plate photo you choose to snap

When you use Snap, the photo you took (or the dish name you typed) is sent to our server so an AI model can read the nutrition. The server forwards it to an AI provider (OpenAI) for analysis and returns the result to you. We do not store the photo or the result; it is processed and discarded. If you add someone's allergies, the assessment is told about them so it can warn you — nothing else about the person is sent.

Web & agent sync — off unless you turn it on

Under You → Web & agents you can sign in with Apple and keep a copy of your journal on our server, so you can read it in a browser at nutritionwithlove.app/journal or connect it to an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT. It is off until you switch it on, and turning it off stops it.

• We never learn who you are. Sign in with Apple gives us an opaque identifier and nothing else. We do not ask Apple for your name or your email address, and we do not store either.
• What syncs: your meals, your targets, the people you cook for, your kitchen, your snacks, your shopping list and your meal plan.
• What never syncs: your body profile — the sex, height and weight behind the calorie calculator. Those stay on the phone, sync or no sync.
• Assistants see only your own journal, and only after you connect one and sign in. You can disconnect at any time by signing out in the app, which revokes their access immediately.
• Reading is free; writing needs NutriLove Pro. Signing out leaves your phone's journal completely untouched.

Dine out

If you say you don't have a kitchen, NutriLove can look for good food near you. Your location is used only for that lookup, only when you tap “Find food near me”, and is never stored.

Apple Health

NutriLove writes the calories and protein of meals into Apple Health only when you tap “Export to Apple Health”. It never reads anything from Health.

Nudges

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone. No push service is involved and nothing is sent to anyone.

Purchases

NutriLove Pro is handled by Apple's App Store. We receive no card details and no personal information from a purchase.
